Skylands Museum of Art

As New Jersey’s newest fine art museum, Skylands Museum of Art focuses on enchanting and imaginative international 20th and 21st century sculptures, paintings and illustrations. On view is a permanent collection of over 300 works by leading artists including Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Leonor Fini, Brian Froud, Anne Bachelier, Brian Branch, Michael Parkes and Ailene Fields.
The three-floor museum presents the artworks by theme such as fairy tales, mythology, dragons, faces & flowers, the human psyche and more. The Sanctuary Room is particularly peaceful. Each year, two temporary exhibitions are presented. Special events and educational programs – including our Night at the Museum and Garden Parties - bring fine art experiences to viewers of all ages, inspiring them to see new things and to create art themselves. The non-profit organization welcomes visitors of all ages. Sketching and photography are encouraged in both the museum galleries and Sculpture Garden.
