Tim Jacobsen has been a photojournalist and freelance photographer for almost 30 years. He grew up outside of Chicago, and graduated from Winona State University (MN) with a BA in Mass Communications. A desire to tell stories with photographs and a passion for the outdoors fuel his desire to constantly create new and inspiring images. Based out of Frederick, MD, he has done work for The Washington Post, the Associated Press, Niche magazine, Maryland Life magazine, Outdoors magazine, the Sierra Club, Garrett County Chamber of Commerce and several state and county tourism boards as well as countless other regional publications. Currently he is a lecturer at Hood College and the University of Maryland's Phillip Merrill College of Journalism, teaching multimedia journalism and photography.
