About

Discover surface decoration on hand-built forms using a variety of techniques including underglazes and glazes to build complex surfaces. Hand-building is a historic technique that uses your hands and simple tools to form complex shapes – instead of a potters’ wheel. We will use templates, press and hump molds and other hand-building techniques to make functional forms. Expand your understanding of this unique material by adding various fibers to the clay to make functional pottery. In the hands-on workshop, you will receive clay materials and handouts that will provide valuable information to make unique pieces. Beginner and Beyond
