Ages 13-17

Come make one of a kind pieces of jewelry in copper, brass, and sterling silver in Peters Valley’s fully equipped Fine Metals Studio. Learn the techniques of sawing, filing, sanding, soldering, texturing, finishing, and stone setting. You will leave this workshop wearing 2-3 pieces of your own handmade jewelry!


Maureen Duffy is a studio jewelry artist and professor who lives and works in Philadelphia, PA. She is an adjunct Jewelry and Metalsmithing professor at Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Towson University, and Rowan University. She also is an instructor at Fleisher Art Memorial one of the oldest art centers in the country where she has helped build the jewelry program that is only a few years old. Maureen’s jewelry practice focuses on both production and one of a kind hand fabricated sterling silver and gold pieces that are inspired by the urban landscape.

Tuition: $200 (lunch is included)
Studio/Materials Fee: $45

This workshop runs from 9am to 4pm each day
