Plants are tricky, ephemeral things. In order to capture flowers and plant life in all their miraculous intricacy, you must cultivate a particular set of personal and technical skills. In this in-depth immersion class, you will learn how to harness things like natural light and attention to detail to bring the beauty and complexity you see with your eye into your photographs. Botanical subjects offer a treasure trove of textures, colors, patterns, lines, symmetry and perfect imperfections, which can provide a rich environment for rewarding photographic opportunities, but getting great shots requires patience and expertise. Explore the indigenous plant life within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area with your DSLR or smartphone camera. Working close up or far away, learn how to bring your vision from live botanical subject to compelling digital image. Use of a Macro lens is a plus! Beginner and Beyond
